Description: This Australia-Based Traditional Chinese Medicine Journal was in need of a redesign of their website including integration of a Paypal Shoping cart in order to process magazine subscriptions, back orders, and pdf article purchases online. Additionally, the client wanted control over all site content. We created a custom content management system (CMS) which allows the client to add, update, and delete content without ever having to get into the code. we also wrote a script to provide simple search functionality for their scholarly resource section.
Client: Apricot Grove
Technologies: XHTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, Jpeg, Gif, Png, Psd
Tools: Dreamweaver 8 + Photoshop CS2
Services: Site Design, Accessibility, Section 508, CMS, FavIcon.
Description: The Apricot Grove Traditional Chinese Medicine Clinic wished to have a standards and section 508 compliant site that was both aesthetically pleasing and functional. They also wanted to be able to edit their content. We designed an edit-in-place cms whereby clinic staff (after logging in) could type over existing content right on the page and have the content saved to a Mysql database. For this cms we integrated and customized TinyMCE's WYSIWYG editor, to which we added a file upload functionality.
Client: Fine Teapots
Technologies: XHTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, Jpeg, Gif, Png, Psd
Tools: Dreamweaver 8 + Photoshop CS2
Services: Site Design, Standards, Section 508, CMS, FavIcon.
Description: For this site, the client wished to have a more graphic intensive brochure-type layout and feel to highlight their fine teas and teapots as well as provide basic information to prospective buyers. A different masthead graphic for each page of the site serves as a visual breadcrumb for one's browsing. The site has a much heavier browser footprint than most of the sites we design, but that is in keeping with both the brochure style format and the higher end clientelle (who are more likely to have broadband connections).
Client: Al-kemi

Tools: Dreamweaver CS3 + Photoshop CS3 + Google API

Description: The al-kemi.org website is not designed by Glass Eye Web but rather serves as an example of our template customization services. This website is based upon the multipflex21b by G. Wolfgang of Wolf Dezign. The client wanted to be able to have an aesthetically pleasing website in a under a week with minimal expense. This client also wanted an Amazon aStore for selling books through their website using their Amazon Associates account, plus an internal site search using the Google AJAX Search API.
Here are a few projects with which I have recently been involved. I have also been doing a good bit of contract work for other design firms (such work is not represented below).
